A website is a great marketing tool. Most of us know that you must have a web presence. It allows people to see your work and get to know your style.
But in today’s times a website is a great money making tool if you put it to work. Not everyone realizes that you have to do something to drive people to your website. You can put your web address on all your marketing tools like business cards and flyers. But If you want to add to your income and sell clothing while you sleep (I love money I didn’t work for) you must advertise.
Right now I mostly sell custom evening and wedding gowns. So what I am doing is creating an easy ready to wear collection just to sell online. I will do a photo shoot of the new items, and price them to move. I will use Paypal to collect funds online. If you are not familiar with Paypal they are a secured website that allows you to collect funds from clients that want to pay by credit card. I even use it for my in house custom clients. All of this means little without a plan to bring great numbers of prospects to my website to see and purchase my new items.
